About
Jeremy Goddard is a singer, songwriter, composer and music producer. He has a rare talent for crafting unforgettable hooks for narrative led songs in all genres. His sophisticated yet accessible harmonic structures connect directly with our emotions and his lyrics express intriguing messages and moods.
Brought up on a diet of jazz piano & soul in Bristol, Jeremy was a professional musician by the age of fifteen. In his early twenties, he had residencies in New York City and had played at the world-famous Rainbow Room, Murrayfield Stadium and had won 5-star reviews at the Edinburgh Fringe. This period is captured on Live and Raw, an uncut solo performance at the original Knitting Factory in Tribeca, NYC.
In 2007, after paying his dues in the underground R&B scene in New York, Jeremy released his first full album, Independent Man – a stirring collection of songs that dug into his obsession with American funk & soul. He used all live musicians to create a rich palette for his pop leaning melodies.
Intense training with top vocal coach, Don Lawrence, in 2009, opened and matured Jeremy’s voice. With this stronger weapon, he founded the feather and leather adorned electro pop tribe, Legion of Many. Within a year, The Legion had played across London and New York and appeared at Glastonbury, WOMAD and Shambala.
In 2010, The Legion marched onto the semi-finals of Sky 1’s TV talent show, Must be the Music and released their debut single, Now We Are Stars. By 2011, they were triumphantly headlining Monte Carlo’s exclusive Sporting Club.
The Legion led Jeremy deeper into dance music and he expanded into DJing & remixing for a variety of artists. In 2014, he moved to Rio de Janerio and started writing and performing with popular Nu-Disco duo, Natema. His vocals featured on their record, To Shine, released on Yoshi Toshi Records and BMW a rework that became an underground hit in the Brazilian clubs and has over 1 million streams on Spotify so far.
Jeremy has also established himself as a successful TV score composer. His compositions have been featured on NBC, CBS, ABC, Discovery Channel, National Geographic and MTV. His documentary work has been used in productions for organizations as diverse as the United Nations, the Ford Foundation and Peter Gabriel’s Charity Witness.
In 2018 Jeremy collaborated with US/Brazilian DJ Tee Cardaci on a new project: Metaversal Synthphonic Orchestra. Their first track is a Disco/ Boogie record called ‘Love All Around Me’ which is being released on 7″ Vinyl by Uncut Records in San Francisco.
Since 2017 Jeremy has been singing, writing and recording with an Modern Alternative Rock Band XYLZ in Bonn, Germany.
He held a summer 2018 residency in Monte Carlo as the piano player and singer in the Grand Casino.
2020 sees the launch of a new label Elide Records that will oversee the new music Jeremy produces and re-release his back catalogue.
